Finalizing idea and product

I had been brainstorming away on a morning, trying to come up with ideas on what I could execute when it comes to lifelong learning in AI. I wrote down some things I was sure about, in the framework, like the impact and medium. The main impact I wanted to achieve was highlighting the connection between nature and AI and my preferred mediums were digital website or physical (with robots). Themes of learning, imitating biological systems (particularly babies), and using simple principles of making associations between words and referents made me think of doing an experiment where a machine could try to learn about itself and its surroundings by using the same associative learning principle. It was an entertaining thought for me as in my mind it emulated a baby’s primitive yet robust state of curiosity, learning, and exploration. Moreover, it makes me think of implications in machines finally imitating humans: when we see machines performing with capabilities just like us, how does our perspective towards them change? How do we feel about an artificial agent ceasing to exist as an AI anymore – and becoming one of us?
